- Application
- Underground Parking Lot Patrol
Project background and needs
Armitage integrated Seeed's reComputer J2011 into a patrol robot for a Hong Kong underground parking lot, using edge vision to analyze camera data and send abnormal images and alerts to the control center.
Supplementing Manual Patrols
- Gaps in monitoring exist after each staff patrol.
- The parking lot needs round-the-clock security monitoring.
Needed continuous patrol and detection coverage.
Anomaly Identification and Reporting
- The parking lot requires license plate, occupied bay, and personnel detection.
- Anomalies include intrusion, abnormal temperature, fire, and smoke.
Needed to send various detection results to the control center promptly.
Solution and architecture
Onboard Detection
The robot integrates license plate recognition, a rotary camera, thermal and bi-spectrum cameras, capturing people, vehicles, and abnormal conditions.
Edge Inference and Reporting
reComputer J2011 contains a Jetson Xavier NX module; the robot runs computer vision inference, sends abnormal images or alerts to the control center, and uploads data to the cloud.
