Project background and needs
Baoneng deployed SenseCAP LoRaWAN sensors and a gateway at its cold chain warehouse in Shenzhen, China, collecting warehouse environmental data for food supply chain traceability, viewable remotely by managers.
Food Environment Traceability
- Food traceability requires knowing the location and conditions along the supply chain.
- The project sought to observe and maintain the warehouse storage environment.
Needed continuous recording of key environmental parameters.
Warehouse Inspection Burden
- Large warehouses can have extreme conditions.
- Managers previously had to walk through the warehouse to check conditions.
Needed centralized viewing of environmental data from a computer.
Solution and architecture
Wireless Collection
Three types of sensors collect air temperature, humidity, CO2, and barometric pressure, and transmit the data to the central gateway.
Cloud Viewing
Sensors and the gateway send data to the cloud platform, letting managers check warehouse conditions from a computer.
