Project background and needs
Spectur deploys solar-powered security sites across community public spaces and infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand, combining reComputer J1020v2, cameras, audio/visual devices, and 4G connectivity for early-warning response.
Active Deterrence
- Traditional monitoring mainly records incidents as they occur.
- Communities also need to respond to potential intrusion and property damage.
Needed to link monitoring detection with on-site deterrence.
Emergency Coordination
- Communities need to identify potential threats.
- Once a threat is found, coordination with emergency response systems is needed.
Needed to send timely alerts to the site and to managers.
Solution and architecture
Site Equipment
The HD6 integrates a Jetson Nano, a custom interface board, an IP camera, an LED light, a speaker, and a 4G modem.
Detection and Notification
The system combines continuous monitoring, passive infrared triggers, and cloud AI to identify people and vehicles, triggering on-site audible and visual alerts and sending user notifications.
