How it works
The E1003 touch panel runs factory ESPHome firmware, connecting directly to the Home Assistant host over the local network via native API for bidirectional state synchronization.
Touch E-Paper Terminal
reTerminal E1003 is powered by ESP32-S3 and a 3.7-inch ultra-low-power electronic paper screen with capacitive touch. Running factory ESPHome firmware, it refreshes only on state changes and retains visuals without power.
Local Native Network
The panel connects via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to the local network using the ESPHome Native API (TCP 6053). All communication stays within the LAN without cloud relay, delivering low latency and complete privacy.
Home Assistant Ecosystem
The Home Assistant host automatically discovers and registers E1003 entities. Touch actions map directly to automations, scene transitions, and multi-step dimming across Zigbee, Matter, and Wi-Fi devices.
