Smart Badge Private Voice Transcription & Diarization

Turn reSpeaker Clip recordings into speaker-labelled transcripts on your own host, with no audio sent to the cloud.

Sync reSpeaker Clip recordings to your own reComputer (Jetson Orin NX or RK3576) and get speaker-labelled transcripts without uploading anything to the cloud.

Transcript list on a reComputer J40 Series: three two-speaker Chinese recordings of 22 s, 16 s and 26 s, transcribed in 0.7 s, 1.2 s and 1.2 s (audio: FLEURS, CC BY 4.0; AISHELL-1, Apache 2.0)

Transcript detail: a 16 s, three-turn Chinese recording split into S1 / S2 / S1 with timestamps, transcribed in 1.2 s with summaries off; the first line has one extra character (audio: AISHELL-1, Apache 2.0)

Reusable Site Templates

Places where recordings need to become text but the audio must not leave the site.

Stores and service counters

Staff wear the Clip; recordings sync when they come back near the host, and the manager reviews the day's conversations on the results page.

Interviews and meeting notes

Put the Clip next to the host after the interview and get a speaker-separated transcript once it syncs.

Clinics, legal and internal meetings

Where recordings cannot leave the premises, transcription runs entirely on your own host.

One Clip pairs with one host and cannot be paired with the phone app at the same time. If AI summaries use a cloud service, the transcript text is sent to it (the audio is not).

How well it works

What you see and operate on the host's results page once it is running.

Transcript list

  • Each recording shows its time, length and number of speakers
  • Filter by ID or device, or upload a WAV file

Transcript detail

  • Split by speaker, with a timestamp on every turn

Measured results

Recordings are uploaded to the host as WAV files, timed from upload to finished transcript and speaker diarization; audio comes from the public FLEURS (CC BY 4.0) and AISHELL-1 (Apache 2.0) datasets. Core model is Alibaba DAMO Academy SenseVoice-Small (multilingual: zh/en/ja/ko/yue) + CAM++ speaker diarization.

How to deploy

Check the setup and its product list, then follow the deployment guide.

Deployment Options

Clip + reComputer

Recordings sync from the Clip to a reComputer J40 (Jetson Orin NX) or reComputer RK3576 over Bluetooth and are transcribed there, split by speaker. Optional faster sync over Wi-Fi and optional AI summaries.

Integration Interfaces

http

Results page and HTTP API; /healthz reports whether the service is ready.

/healthz · Port: 8631 · Method: GET
mqtt

Message published on the host when a transcript is ready.

Port: 1883 · Topic: clip-pt/<host-id>/transcript/<transcript-id>/ready

Usage Requirements

bluetooth

The host reaches the Clip over Bluetooth; the Clip must not be bound to the phone app at the same time.

wifi

Optional faster Wi-Fi sync: the host joins the Clip's own hotspot. When the host is on Ethernet its built-in Wi-Fi is used; when the host uses Wi-Fi for its network, add a USB Wi-Fi adapter.
