Supports standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; Home Assistant must be on the same local network. Both panels join through the Home Assistant ESPHome integration; no MQTT broker is needed.

How it works

The touch panel (E1003 e-paper or Indicator color LCD) joins the home LAN and connects to the Home Assistant host over the ESPHome native API, synchronizing keys and sensor state in both directions.

The interactive panel joins the home LAN over Wi-Fi and keeps a persistent connection to the Home Assistant host — both panels use the ESPHome Native API (TCP 6053). Touch actions convert directly into Home Assistant entity events, while light and sensor state updates sync back to the panel in real time.

Touch Interactive Panel

Two form factors: reTerminal E1003 pairs an ESP32-S3 with a 10.3-inch ultra-low-power e-paper screen that refreshes only on state changes and retains visuals without power; SenseCAP Indicator offers a color LCD touch screen for information-denser spots.

How well it works

What users experience directly on the wall panel and within Home Assistant.

Eye-friendly always-on e-paper (E1003)

  • Non-glare paper-like viewing with zero flicker
  • Ultra-low power consumed only during screen refresh
  • Persistent image retention even when unpowered

Richer color touch (Indicator)

  • Color LCD with higher information density
  • D1 / D1S / D1Pro / D1L editions
  • One-click flashing of the Indicator HA panel firmware

Pure local native integration

  • Both panels use the native ESPHome API
  • No MQTT broker needed; MQTT is optional
  • Zero external cloud dependencies or subscription
